The Beaches Resorts Fantastic Family Fly-Away Sweepstakes (“Sweepstakes”) starts at 12:00 a.m. EST on Friday, May 15, 2009 and ends at 12:00 a.m. EST on Friday, June 12, 2009 (“Sweepstakes Period”). This Sweepstakes shall be subject to these Official Rules, and by entering, all entrants agree to abide and be bound by these rules and the decisions of the judges and Sponsors.
1) Eligibility: This Sweepstakes is open to legal U.S. residents residing in the 48 contiguous United States or D.C. (excluding Hawaii and Alaska) who are 21 years and older as of the first day of the Sweepstakes Period. You must provide all information requested on the registration form, and your contact information must be accurate. 2) If you subscribe to the Chicago Tribune during the Sweepstakes Period, you will receive an automatic entry. In the event of a dispute regarding the identity of an entrant, the holder of the e-mail account will be deemed the person who submitted the entry. Incomplete entries will be disqualified, and Sponsors are not responsible for online registrations that are lost, late, deleted, garbled, corrupted, misdelivered, or misdirected as a result of technical, internet or other online difficulties or errors. All entries must be received by the close of the Sweepstakes Period. The computer clock of Sponsors’ webmaster is the official timekeeping device of the Sweepstakes. Limit one entry per person or household regardless of entry method; duplicate entries from the same person or household will be disqualified. All received entries become the property of the Sponsors and will not be returned.
3) Winners and Notification: On or about Wednesday, June 17, 2009 Sponsors will select a potential Grand Prize winner in a drawing from among all eligible entries received. Sponsors will select also select three First Prize winners, one each in Los Angeles, South Florida, and Chicago. The Los Angeles winner will be selected from among entries received through www.KTLA.com and www.LATimes.com, and only California residents will be eligible for the Los Angeles prize. The South Florida winner will be selected from among entries received through www.CWSFL.com and www.Sun-Sentinel.com, and only Florida residents will be eligible for the South Florida prize. The Chicago winner will be selected from among entries received through www.WGNTV.com, www.ChicagoTribune.com, and www.RedEyeChicago.com, and only Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin residents will be eligible for the Illinois prize. Odds of winning the Grand Prize depend on the number of all eligible entries received. Odds of winning a First Prize depend on the number of entries received for each regional prize pool. Sponsors will make all final decisions in any and all issues related to this Sweepstakes, and their decisions shall be final and binding in all respects. Sponsors will attempt to contact potential winners by telephone or email. A winner will be disqualified and an alternate winner may be selected by random drawing from among all remaining entries if (1) a winner does not claim his or her prize by Wednesday, June 24, 2009; (2) a winner does not fulfill the eligibility requirements; (3) a winner does not adhere to the Official Rules; and/or (4) if the prize notification is returned as undeliverable, refused, or declined.

All 16 persons must travel from same airport and on same itinerary.
Lodging (up to a maximum of four per suite) occupancy for 5 nights/6 days Luxury Included® Family Vacation. Beaches Resorts is a Luxury Included® resort destination. Therefore the provided prize(s) will include deluxe accommodations, all meals, unlimited premium brand beverages, daily and nightly entertainment, all land and water sports, including scuba diving (for certified divers), snorkeling, gratuities, and transfers to and from the designated airport.

One (1) private dining reception to include exclusive food and beverage service for 16 persons. Approximate retail value (“ARV”) of Grand Prize: $23,000.

Telephone calls, Red Lane® Spa treatments and services, specialty dining, tours & excursions, inter-island transportation, SCUBA certification courses, island departure taxes and purchases made at the Beaches Resorts Specialty Shops are not included. All other expenses not specifically mentioned herein are the responsibility of prize winners. Beaches Resorts reserves the right to relocate any confirmed prizewinner from their resort of choice to an alternate resort within the Beaches Resorts chain based upon availability of space for the secured travel dates. Guests who are minors in their state of residence must be accompanied at all times by parent or legal guardian. Certain blackout dates may apply. All travel must be completed by June 12, 2010. Travel must be booked through Sponsors or their agents. Reservations will not be confirmed until 30 days prior to travel date. All winners and guests are responsible for abiding by any terms and conditions applicable to a Beaches Resorts vacation, and Beaches Resorts and/or Sponsors may terminate winner or guest’s trip at any time for inappropriate behavior. All winners are solely responsible for any applicable federal, state and local taxes in connection with the prize, as well as a processing fee of $25 per room, per night. Prize substitutions are not allowed, and prizes are not transferable. Only Sponsors may elect, at their discretion, to substitute a prize of equal value due to lack of availability for any given reason. Prizes are awarded "as is" with no warranty or guarantee, either express or implied by Sponsors, including but not limited to, the quality, merchantability, habitability, or fitness of the prize items. All properly claimed prizes will be awarded, but in no event will Sponsors award more prizes than are provided for in these Official Rules.
5) Other Conditions: Winners will be required to sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility and Release, and, if so, it must be returned to Sponsors within one week of winner’s receipt of same. Winners may also be required to sign and return certain tax documentation. Failure to return all such documents will result in that winner being disqualified, and Sponsors may randomly draw another winner from among all remaining eligible entries from that particular prize pool. Guests of winner (or parent of legal guardian in the event guest is a minor) will be required to sing and return Releases prior to taking prize trip.
By entering this Sweepstakes, each entrant agrees to release, waive and hold harmless Sponsors and their affiliates, subsidiaries, parent corporations, prize provider, and advertising and promotional agencies, and all of their officers, directors, shareholders, employees and agents from any and all injuries, claims, damages, losses, costs, or expenses of any kind (including without limitation attorney’s fees) resulting from accessing the Sweepstakes website; submitting an entry or otherwise participating in any aspect of the Sweepstakes; the receipt, ownership or use of any prize awarded; preparing for, participating in or traveling to and/or from any prize-related activity, or; any printing, typographical or other error in these Official Rules or the announcement of offering of any prize.
By accepting the Prize, each Winner agrees, where legal, to allow Sponsors and their agents and licensees to use their names, voices, photographs, likenesses and any information provided on the entry form, in any medium of communication, including advertising, promotional or other purposes, without additional compensation.
6) Internet/Fraud/Tampering: If for any reason this Sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned, or if this Sweepstakes or any website associated therewith (or any portion thereof) becomes corrupted or does not allow the proper playing of the Sweepstakes and processing of entries in accordance with these rules, or if infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, actions by entrants, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes, in the Sponsors’ sole opinion, corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Sweepstakes, the Sponsors reserve the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual implicated in such action and/or to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend this Sweepstakes or any portion thereof. In the event this Sweepstakes is cancelled, the Sponsors will conduct a random drawing to award prizes from among all eligible, non-suspect entries received for each prize pool prior to the time of the action or event warranting such cancellation. If such cancellation, termination, modification, or suspension occurs, notification will be posted at the Sweepstakes website. ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT OR ANY OTHER INDIVIDUAL TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEBSITE (INCLUDING THE ENTRY SITE) OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE SWEEPSTAKES WILL LEAD TO DISQUALIFICATION.
